One of the most challenging aspects of putting on an exhibition is the delivery of artworks. It can be expensive if you have to rely on Australia Post to deliver your work, there are delays in delivery and it lacks that personal community connection that 8×8 is renowned for.
For the past two years our exhibition has been supported by Ros Bates, LNP member for Mudgeeraba.
Ros opens up her office to allow artwork for the 8×8 Exhibition to be delivered free of postage charges. Her staff do an amazing job of keeping our entries safe until collection. It was lovely to sit and discuss the works and the artists who submit them to Ros.
It is the support of the community, artists, collectors, and those like Ros who make the 8×8 Art Awards such a huge success.
